Ultrasound Injections
Ultrasound has many applications in medicine and can be very useful in soft tissue injuries. Paul will always obtain a diagnostic ultrasound but can use the portable machine to monitor progress.
Ultrasound allows accurate and safe injection practice for both corticosteroid and autologous blood injections.
Corticosteroid injections are indicated for inflammatory conditions such as an inflamed joint or bursa.
Autologous blood injections (patient’s own blood) are useful for non-inflammatory soft tissue conditions such as tendon pathology.
